I love popcorn balls. Here's a favorite recipe I came up with on my own, even if I'm a generally helpless male in the kitchen! Unfortunately, I've recently been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, so I can't eat these--I can only look at them.
!. Pop 3 3.5 ounce bags (or more) of your favorite microwave popcorn (unbuttered to movie heavy duty buttered, your choice depending on your cholesterol level and heart condition).
2. Remove as many of the unpopped kernels as you can, and add it all to a large plastic bowl, like a Tupperware one.
3. Add about a half bag of mini marshmallows, a half bag of spice drops and some shelled peanuts or mixed nuts if you want. Mix it all up with the handle of a wooden spoon.
4. Put it in your microwave oven and blast it on high for about a minute. Watch closely if you have a high powered oven--you don't want the marshmallows to toast, just puff up all melty-like.
5. Remix the hot stuff with your wooden spoon handle again--if it has butter or margarine on it, it'll go easier.
6. If it needs more heat, put it back in the microwave oven for another 30 seconds on high.
7. Wait a minute to let the mixture cool down a bit. It's probably very hot and will burn you.
6. Lay out some aluminum foil or waxed paper, and with buttered hands, form your popcorn balls.
7. Wrap the popcorn balls individually in plastic wrap for stocking stuffers or stack them in a bowl for snacks during the holidays.
These are festive and delicious. Enjoy!

For the last ten years or so I go to my daughter's house on Christmas
Eve and stay anywhere from 2 to 5 days. The thing about that is they live really close Im talking only a couple of blocks from my house. LOL I started doing this when her kids, 3 boys and a girl, were young. And even though their not little anymore, my oldest grandson just turned 19 and my granddaughter is 13, they still want me to come on Christmas eve and stay till whenever. And even though I see them alot during the year Christmas is and probably still will be for years to come the time I look forward to.

I know I already posted for this contest but today had to be my most favorite holiday tradition ever. My fiancée and I went Christmas shopping and we bought each other some nice gifts. Then we went to "look" at rings for our wedding in August, well as I was trying in rings, I found one that I fell in love with and it was over $1200, this was way way way out of our budget, well that didn't stop him, he put down $150 on it and it is sooooooo beautiful. I keep crying and telling him that he doesn't have to spend it, that I can pick something less expensive. His comment back to me melted my heart. He said "Baby, think of it this way, $1200 for 60 years of absolute happiness is not much to pay" This is one Christmas I will never forget. Sorry for posting twice but this just melted my heart. I love him so much. Thanks for letting me share. <3

My family and I stay up the entire christmas eve and @ 6am we go to church for early sunrise service. we have a candle light service followed by christmas play and @ the end of service, gift baskets are given to the elderly in the church and gift bags to the kids filled with fruits , candy and a pair of socks.

When my grandchildren were 3 and 5, I started making a gingerbread house with them. I would buy each of them a gingerbread kit, and the three of us would then go pick out candy for the house. They love picking out the candy that they liked. We then proceeded to make the house. I think they ate more frosting than was on the houses. The finished masterpieces were beautiful and my proud grandchildren were ready for their pictures.
My grandchildren are 9 and 12 now, and in nov. they asked if we were going to make more this year. I hope this tradition continues and they both make houses with their children. There is nothing that makes christmas like children laughing and smiling.

My favorite holiday tradition is staying in my most comfortable and warm pajamas on Christmas morning and into the day with nothing more to do than to spend the day with my family, enjoying the new game bought that year for Christmas and eating all day long!
Happy Holidays!

My favorite tradition is putting a little mirror under the lighted tree and spraying fake snow all over and that pine scent that comes in can. with a few pine combs, it is real pretty. Thanks, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS.
