Irishgilly2 and all my friends here at NoLuckNeeded,

I am truly grateful for all men and women who have sacrificed life and limb in defense of our great country. I know it is a sacrifice beyond human comprehension to do and have done what these wonderful men and women have accomplished.

The whole world is envious of the lives that we as American citizens lead and would therefore try to defeat us; whether it be on the battlefield or from within our own borders.

We MUST be ever vigilant, support our armed forces and pray for protection for our families, friends and way of life.

God bless your son for being one who has done his duty and for his comrades in arms.

If only I had known then what I know now, I would have definitely enlisted myself. I would do it now, but the service doesn't take middle aged women!!!

God Bless America, and God bless you all.

Your friend,

gwendolyna

PS - TDTAT, I didn't really read the rules to this contest because when I read the post by Irishgilly2 it really didn't seem to matter. (but if it counts, I'll take 1)

Mr. Green

irishgilly2, I do not think you are nuts.
I often wonder what difference a woman running the world would make.
Unfortunately, that very difference is the reason we do not run the world.
Women do not thirst for power and therefore to not often seek it.

Remembering the conflicts like Sierra Leone and the current election
crisis in Zimbabwe truly makes me appeciate living in America.
We take so many things for granted. We are so lucky.

Look at a few headlines from the world and then think
of our "economic" troubles.... Are we really so bad off?

"Aid workers snatched in Somalia"
"'Witches' burnt to death in Kenya"
"Ethiopian millions 'risk hunger' "
"Burma 'still uses child soldiers'"

boy is that ever the truth! I know we are ever so lucky to be Americans, and we cannot thank our Veterans enough. I always thank veterans when I find out they are one, I have seen tears in many eyes when I have thanked them, especially the veterans of the Vietnam conflict/war or what you prefer. It makes me tear up to see them tear up. Yes indeed, we are very, very lucky.

Without our vetrans, our way of life would not exist. Thanks to all
vetrans and current military, and to their families. Icon_pray

I just noticed that I already posted Embarassed and I picked a different letter!

It seems like A is for the fighting soldiers, and C more represents those who have fallen. Since it is Memorial Day, I will stay with my first pick ...C ( I probably didn't have a choice anyway Embarassed )
