Worst Celebrity Gamblers
It is a common fact that a lot of celebrities gamble, in fact a lot of these celebrities have been entered into and won some top tournaments. The celebrities that are involved in the world of gambling are involved in a social manner and often hire out private rooms at top casinos or get themselves actively involved in online gambling sites. These celebrities play for fun but also as a means of improving their skills.
Generally the celebrities that are involved in the world of gambling are good at the games that they play, such as Ben Affleck and Matt Damon at poker. In fact a lot of the top celebs who do partake in various gambling games are recognized by the professional players as being good competition. However on the flip side of this there are unfortunately a hand full of celebrities who are the complete opposite, these celebrities are classed as some of the worst celebrity gamblers, but what exactly determines whether someone is a good gambler or a bad one?
The answer to the above question is obviously determined by whether or not someone loses money when they are gambling as well as the way in which they conduct themselves during the game, for example if you are playing poker, you need to have a good poker face. Aspects such as these really do go without saying; basically you need to be tactful and you need to ensure that you fully understand the game that you are playing, take time out to learn the rules inside out, especially if you are playing for money.
A lot of the celebrities who are involved in the world of gambling are often involved in it for exactly this reason; to gamble money. In the majority of cases this is never really a problem, however there have been instances where certain celebrities have gambled money and ended up losing it, take Michael Jordan for instance, he reportedly lost $1,000,000 on just one game of golf, which has resulted in Michael Jordan being thought of as one of the worst celebrity gamblers, along with golfer John Daly, who is said to have gambled away between $50 an $60 million.
The list of the worst celebrity gamblers is one that could go on and on, even the top players have their off days but the reason why people such as Michael Jordan and John Daly stand out as some of the worst celebrities who gamble is down to the fact of how much money they actually lost in one go. In cases such as this the person making the bet is taking a massive risk, one that ideally should only be attempted when you are pretty sure you can win it.
Celebrity gambling is a past time and social event that more celebs than ever are becoming involved in, each have their own skills and favorite games to get involved with and with a few exceptions of bad decisions and terrible gambling choices, many celebs are actually pretty good at it.

Great article, I guess if I had the money they have, I would be a heavy gambler too, but I would be playing the slots. But as my dad tells me, "If you had that kind of money, why gamble?" But I gamble for fun, and entertainment, I never gamble to try to make money. I know for a fact it does work, I have watched family lose everything they had, trying to gain more.

I agree with mistye81. Considering the money they have, they can just gamble and worry less about the outcome of their actions. That might be the biggest difference between them and us.

I think celebrity dont need to worry the outcome of the result as they dont worry about to loose money in casino but we are the people who worried about the outcome.

With so many celebrities to sports stars are doing great in the poker industry, i guess the former NBA player Dennis Rodman is the worst poker player. I've analyzed in a poker tournament.

I would say that most of those celebrities are not trying to make money over the tourney beside they seem to do it just for fun and just to have a little diversion and they seems like enjoying what they have doing. We should should understand them that they're just humans who need a little fun over their busy and hectic schedule with their career.

Oh my word 60 million on one game? These people have way too much money! I hope some of the winnings went towards charity.
