2009 WSOP Winner

Joseph Cada, a 21 year old from Shelby Township, Michigan, has won the $8.5 million dollar World Series of Poker Final table and 2009 championship bracelet. The final table will air on ESPN tonight.

Cada becomes the youngest player to win the World Series of Poker Championship. The previous record was held by last year's 22 year old winner, Peter Eastgate.

Cada dropped out of college to become a professional poker player and this was the first year he was old enough to play in the World Series.

Cada will be sharing half of his $8.5 million dollar prize with his financial "backers", 2 professional poker players, who helped him raise the $10,000 entry fee for the Championship. Cada says he was on a "downswing" of around $150,000 before winning the WSOP.

A 46 year old Maryland man named Darvin Moon, who makes his living with a chainsaw, won the second place prize of $5.2 million and said he has to be back at work on Friday.

Other final table notables were top poker pro Phil Ivey, who finished in 7th place, and former Bear Stearns executive Steve Begleiter who finished 6th.

He's a good pro, I dont think he should be underestimated, esp since the best cash pro live or on the virtual felt is 22 yr old Tom "Durrr" Dwan...
