Notable National Football League Matchups Week 2 By: Chris Watford for NoLuckNeeded.com

We’re now entering the second week of football and while it’s not clear cut on which teams are winners and which are losers we do know one thing for certain: the Browns haven’t technically lost. If you missed what happened in the first week of the NFL, check out the Week 1 recap article. With football starting to kick into gear, let’s take a look at the most notable matchups this weekend.

Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers 9/16

One of the most exciting games this weekend between two division rivals basically boils down to one huge if: is Aaron Rodgers going to play? This is going to be a more difficult matchup for the Vikings compared to their last outing against the Niners, as they will be facing against Green Bay’s superior coverage. Kirk Cousins threw for 244 yards in his last outing along with two TD’s, but things won’t be coming to him that easy this time out. Catch this game this Sunday on FOX at 1:00 PM ET.

Carolina Panthers @ Atlanta Falcons 9/16

The Panthers and the Falcons are both going to be hobbling their way onto the field this Sunday as the Falcons are missing a huge piece in Keanu Neal and Cam Newton is missing his security blanket, Greg Olsen. This comes as a huge matchup to both teams considering they’re in a bloodbath of a conference and while it’s only the second week, this game could come down to a tiebreaker towards the end of the season. Intertops has the Panthers sitting +6 on the spread. Watch this game this Sunday on FOX at 1:00 PM ET.

New England Patriots @ Jacksonville Jaguars 9/16

A rematch of last year’s AFC championship game is practically a guarantee to be a fantastic matchup. Not only is it a rematch, we’re getting some good old fashion trash talk a week before these two teams even meet. Jaguars’ cornerback, Jalen Ramsey told ESPN that “Rob Grongowski is not as good as people think he is.” Gronk brushed off this statement saying “if that’s how he feels, that’s how he feels.” This is anyone’s game, with Intertops putting the spread at +0. Catch this game this Sunday on CBS at 4:25 PM ET.
