MLB Baseball: Red Sox Host the Yankees This Sunday
by Christ Watford for NoLuckNeeded.com
You know what’s better than Sunday night baseball? A series between two rival teams: the New York Yankees (68-38 plus-1.84 betting units) and the Boston Red Sox (75-34, plus-24.34 units) will duke it out this Sunday at 8:00 PM ET on ESPN.
The Yankees have their eyes set on the World Series and they made some changes before the non-waiver deadline to show for it by picking up JA Happ and Lance Lynn. Masahiro Tanaka (3.84 ERA) will be throwing the first pitch for the Yankees while David Price (2.97 ERA) will pitch for the Red Sox. The Yankees have been Price’s achilles heel since he arrived in Boston two years ago. Price is 2-6 with an 8.43 ERA against the Yankees, including an 11-1 loss against the Yankees on July 1st.
Aside from the Yankees giving Price trouble this year, he’s treated Boston well with a 14-6 record and a 6.90 unit profit. While Tanaka has been pitching well, he hasn’t been quite as profitable with only 0.65 units behind an 11-5 record.
