Just curious -- sorry if this has been posted before, but do we know if the odds vary based on the amount of the wager in say, rival casinos? It is pretty common knowledge in land-based casinos for example that playing $1 slots yield better long-run odds than $.25 slots.

...and a gripe. I don't know why I even bother with some of the "777%" bonuses like Pantasia. I feel like I just hope to last for a while with $2 bets, and maybe see some fireworks because I don't anticipate making the playthrough. Nope. Gone from $877 to $0 in less than an hour playing mixed vid/i-slots, never more than $2 bets, with the biggest win being 130 odd dollars on spy game.
It drives me nuts how much some of these guys mess with the "random number generator". I should really just stick exclusively to slotocash. At least with them I feel like I fairly lose my money

entranced, Hi! The Slots have a fixed odd. To see the odds for rival slots click help then scroll to the bottom and the average expected payout is listed. Keep in mind this is over millions of spins. Most rival slots expected payback is 94%-97%. Also, individual casinos can not change the odds on the rival slots... it the not an option in their backend software, so the slots have the same odds at all the rivals. It may feel like one casino pays out more, but that is just the variance of the game. Other casino software such as RTG does have the option to change the odds for different slots (or they used to).

I am definitely in-tune with the law of large numbers. It is, however, conceivable that one could skew the random number generator ever-so-slightly and still stay within reasonable standard deviations. I've tested these types of things before with like $400 being spent $.03 at a time (all the way down to $0) on a 3-reel like Gold Rush that is supposed to have the highest return rate (98%, iirc).
Anyways, gambling's still gambling. 'nuff said.

entranced, I just know that it is not an option for the individual casinos to change the payouts with Rival software... where you may have lost $400 at 3 cents on a game, another player was probably winning your $400. Personally I have seen this variance... I used to play the Scary Rich slot quite a bit. Sometimes I would win hundreds or thousands and other times I could go through $200 and never hit more than $2.
These days I really only play video poker, as the odds are better with that. I rarely ever play any bonuses at all, but when I was new, I would only play with huge bonus offers. Last month I had a $4000 video poker hit, but really no good wins since then. Really the longer you play the more the math will get you.
