before i love very much xmas because all my children are with me , now , i hate xmas because they all are so far away , and i m always alone but its life , children make their live also and no choice to go far for their work

Ahh yes the broke season is upon us again, but i got admit all that giving and recieving is a hell alot of fun.

I've got to love the holidays....it's the happiest, most exciting time for my kids! To see the smiles on their faces while opening presents, playing and enjoying themselves with family... makes me smile. And another reason, is because throughout all the problems and weight i've accumulated throughout the year... once i walk into my christmas family party, boy.... exhale, finally.

I have really learned to enjoy the holidays. I may have gained some wisdom in my 31 years.....

I don't stress anymore over Christmas shopping and I don't blow tons of money. Most of my family has more than I do (material possessions anyways) so I concentrate on just getting something special for everyone that reminds me of them, even if it's only $10 or whatever. Just a nice personal gift. Why spend all that money? Is that really what's important? And no, I'm not just "cheap"; this just makes more sense.

My brother was in the army and spent plenty of time over seas (he is officially out now) and missed two Christmas'. The second holiday, we spent with his wife and new baby that he hadn't even met yet. Somehow I almost felt guilty with all the hugs and kisses I was able to give my daughter that day. I knew there was no way he'd be enjoying his day like this. Because of this, the past two Christmas' has been so special just having my brother around. He went through a lot and we're so lucky he's even here to celebrate it with us...

6 years ago, My ex husband and I finally called it quits right around the holidays. No, not the greatest time but things happen. Now, I find myself single again after ending a two year relationship that I thought could go somewhere. Some say it's tough to be single around the holidays. Yeah, maybe there's a tinge of jealousy to watch happy families around me but this is real life here. I realize I'm NOT alone anymore and won't be because I have this wonderful, amazing little girl that calls me mommy. I'm looking forward to being single this year because it's just me and her. We're planning on going to see the festival of lights, going out of town to shop and grab a nice hotel room (we live in BFE) and have our own mini celebration, just the two of us. No distractions, just quality time with my baby girl...Really, I can't imagine anything better. Then of course, we'll have all the family together for Christmas and Christmas eve. As much as they drive me crazy, I still love these people and I'm lucky to have them..Think of all the people that are missing from others' lives.

So, maybe what I'm trying to say is that the best thing about the holidays is just appreciating what you have. Even if it's the sis-in-law that drives you crazy or the over-bearing mother or the lack of funds around this time of year...I mean, you still have a home to lay your head down at night, right???

The Holiday season has never really done all that much for me... I am usually glad when it's over.... but this year is a bit different... So far, I am truly enjoying the xmas season. My sweet 3 1/2 yr old daughter has come into the world with a wholehearted Love for the holiday like noone I have ever met ... she just goes flippedy for the pretty lights all over the place, the tree, the xmas music, the holiday TV programs, the lil electronic singing santa, dancing penguin, and partying elf gizmos all up and down the aisles at the stores.... etc etc..... pretty cool, methinks

I try to be as cheery as I can during the holidays, for my grand kids, but I still miss my husband SO much. He died 5 years ago just days after new years. So, in a way I hate this time of year.

That is not to say that I don't wish the very best for everyone! I hope everyone has a happy, loving, and safe Christmas and New Years!!!
