I guess I should have looked a little closer at the fine details. I posted this because we do not often question the validity of first deposit bonuses as they are pretty self explanatory in what you get, but this will be a reminder.

Yeah, that's basically BS. There's no "matching" to it! Don't call it a match bonus..

I do not always love the way bonuses are marketed, but that is the way businesses are. Whether it be a TV commercial or a casino banner, we must read the fine print and know what is really going on. You know the deals from TV.. get 15 cds for .99 (but read the fine print and next month you get charged a bill for $29.99).

That said, I do not think a bonus like this is fair.. the player should at least get the bonus if they loose the whole deposit and can not make the wagering requirement.

I think the important thing is to know the terms of any bonus before you deposit... also how to get the bonus. If it is hard to find the bonus terms, maybe that should send off some alarm bells and make you consider playing at a different casino. Unfortunately not knowing the rules is no excuse... it is the player's responsibilty to protect themselves.

I would also be looking for payment times and cashout methods before I deposited anywhere. If is a good idea to ask support these questions prior to depositing. If the support team seems slow or uninformed, play elsewhere.

Other casinos do these kind of bonuses too. The wagerworks casinos (like Boyle Casino) do not give the first deposit bonuses until after you playthough a certain amount. This can be good if you happen to win or like to play games other than slots.

Basically: always know the terms of bonus before you put your money in any casino or use any bonus. If you are playing at casinos that are not well known, it is especially important to due a bit a research.

Sorry again for the issues, hopefully it will save some money in the long run and remind everyone to know the details BEFORE you deposit.. not after.

Oddsmaker and Full Tilt Poker are the same; I received a $20 birthday bonus at Oddsmaker and there it sits in the "Free Money" column, waiting for me to deposit, then, get this, it disburses the "Free" money at the rate of one cent to every 30 cents I wager! So a 30 cent wager only costs me 29 cents from my real money! AND, if your bet is smaller than that, say a nickle at a time on keno, it does not disburse at all! No matter if I play a $100; any wager under 30 cents does not entitle you to any of the "Free" money.

I've got to say that most bonuses cost way to freakin' much! You're better off just depositing at a reputable site, maybe one that has loyalty points. It sure saves a lot of disappointment, misery and anger at the slick advertising to which we are all so suceptible [sic?].
